Easyfairs makes its exhibition venues in Belgium, Sweden and the Netherlands available to the authorities

Easyfairs, which organises more than 200 trade fairs, events and exhibitions in 14 countries and manages ten venues in Belgium, the Netherlands and Sweden, has decided to play an active role in the fight against Covid-19 by making its facilities available to local and national authorities in these countries.

These include Flanders Expo (Ghent), Antwerp Expo (Antwerp), Namur Expo (Namur) and Nekkerhall Brussels North (Mechelen) in Belgium, the Hardenberg and Gorinchem pavilions in the Netherlands, as well as Kistamässan (Stockholm), Malmömässan (Malmö) and Abymässan (Gothenburg) in Sweden.

Eric Everard, CEO and founder of Easyfairs, said: “We are impressed by the widespread commitment of authorities and health services around the world. We will join this collective effort to combat the coronavirus and help to assist, as much as possible, the people who have been directly affected. Our wards can house temporary health centres, patient reception and triage areas, medical equipment storage areas, and so on. The authorities we have contacted have expressed great interest in this proposal, which they will certainly implement if necessary”.

The evolution of Covid-19 and the acceleration of the measures taken by the authorities to limit its spread are having a considerable impact, directly or indirectly, on the entire population and on all economic sectors internationally. The events industry is particularly affected, as exhibitions planned for the coming weeks have had to be cancelled in most countries.

In Spain, Easyfairs organises, among others, Empack and Logistics & Automation, two leading trade fairs in the packaging and logistics sectors, which will be held on 25 and 26 November this year.
These are the annual events for packaging and logistics professionals that each year bring together more than 400 exhibitors and more than 11,000 professionals.

MetalMadrid and Composites Spain 2020, also organised by Easyfairs, will take place on 30 September and 1 October. This is the only industrial event in Spain that brings together more than 700 exhibiting brands and nearly 13,000 professional visitors every year.
