With the arrival of the new decade, we have started to give more importance to sustainable packaging. In particular, we have seen how many companies such as Bezoya or Unilever are changing their conventional packaging for recycled plastic packaging. How is Recycled Plastic Manufactured?<\/h3>\n

To understand more about recycled plastic packaging, one must first understand how virgin plastic is recycled.<\/p>\n

The process of recycling plastic is quite simple: if we have, for example, a plastic tray or blister made of pure PET, it is cleaned and fed into a kind of “grinder”, which crushes the packaging into very small pieces. These pieces are then extruded and transformed into ‘pellets’. This is plastic in small pellets.<\/p>\n

The pellets can then be used to make plastic sheets and these sheets can be used to be thermoformed, creating recycled plastic packaging.<\/p>\n

What is the difference between Recycled Plastic and Virgin Plastic?<\/p>\n
