Hasta ahora, los cient\u00edficos cre\u00edan que era imposible inducir pol\u00edmeros para formar\u00a0<strong>l\u00e1minas 2D<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan sus desarrolladores, el nuevo material podr\u00eda usarse como un\u00a0<strong>recubrimiento liviano<\/strong>\u00a0y duradero para piezas de autom\u00f3viles o tel\u00e9fonos m\u00f3viles. Tambi\u00e9n, como material de construcci\u00f3n para puentes u otras estructuras.<\/p>\n<p>Como explica\u00a0<strong>Michael Strano<\/strong>, profesor de ingenier\u00eda qu\u00edmica en el MIT y autor principal del estudio acerca del nuevo material,\u00a0<em>Normalmente no pensamos en los pl\u00e1sticos como algo que podr\u00edas usar para sostener un edificio; pero con este material, puedes habilitar cosas nueva. Tiene propiedades muy inusuales y estamos muy entusiasmados<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores han solicitado\u00a0<strong>dos patentes sobre el proceso<\/strong>\u00a0que utilizaron para generar el material, que describen en un art\u00edculo publicado en la revista\u00a0<em>Nature<\/em>.
