Naeco, awarded the SME of the Year Award in Asturias
The award was presented to Antonio Fernández, founding partner of the company, in an act organized by the Oviedo Chamber of Commerce
On June 20, Naeco received the Asturias SME of the Year award for its work as a company that generates wealth and creates employment in the region.
This award is a distinction that is convened in 50 provinces and has the participation of 52 territorial Chambers of Commerce, 13 Territorial Directorates of Banco Santander and the newspaper El Comercio belonging to the Vocento Group.
In addition, four second prizes were awarded in different categories: Oxiplant for Training and Employment, Iturcemi for Internationalization, Futuver for Innovation and Digitization, and Construcciones García Rama for Sustainability.
The SME of the Year in Asturias 2023 award gives Naeco access to participate, along with the rest of the winners at the provincial level, of the National SME of the Year Award 2023, which will be announced in the first quarter of 2024 at an event that is scheduled to be held in Madrid.
The event was chaired by the presidents of the Asturian Chambers of Commerce: Carlos Paniceres, Félix Baragaño and Daniel González Menéndez, together with the Minister of Industry, Enrique Fernández, Manuel Iturbe, territorial director of Banco Santander in Asturias and Cantabria and Ángel González , deputy director of the newspaper El Comercio.
At the event, Naeco's circular economy model was highlighted, which contributes to diversifying the economic fabric of Asturias and strengthening the region's export vocation. The jury, made up of representatives of the organizing and collaborating entities, has especially valued NAECO's contribution to the creation of young employment, with professionals oriented towards new technologies, marketing and innovation.
Naeco is proud of this prestigious award, recognition of the daily effort and work of each and every one of the professionals that are part of the company. The company is aware that without the human capital it currently has, it would not have been possible to have the results and the trajectory achieved to date.
