About us
At Söhner we have been making reusable industrial packaging for over 50 years and today we are one of the leading European companies in the industry. We are specialized in plastic thermoforming, reusable folding containers, boxes and workpiece carriers, packaging for batteries and dangerous goods, all available with conductive or dissipative ESD protection.
We design and manufacture reusable, sustainable and recyclable packaging optimized for all types of applications in the industry, both manual and automated processes.

MegaPack folding systems
MegaPack systems are foldable large load carriers and pallet boxes ensuring a large volume reduction for the return of empties. This makes them an efficient and economical solution for different logistics processes. The pallets and lids are made of thermoformed Twin-Sheet resulting in products that are light and very robust at the same time.
Battery packaging
We offer a wide range of robust, foldable transport containers as well as thermoformed load carriers and individual packaging solutions with UN approval - for maximum safety during transport and efficient production processes. ESD packaging
Our ESD packaging portfolio ranges from thermoformed load carriers for individual components to foldable large load carriers and customized solutions for entire component assemblies. We ensure that you receive ESD packaging that works as it should: minimizing the buildup of static electricity and dissipating electrostatic charges in a controlled manner. - Conductive packaging - Dissipative packaging - Antistatic packaging
Workpiece carriers and thermoformed products
With the thermoforming technology we can make workpiece carriers, intermediate interlayers, special and customized packaging and various other packaging solutions. These products are ideal for automated lines and guarantee a safe transport of parts regardless of their size, shape and weight. We are specialized in both Single-Sheet and Twin-Sheet technology.
Stacking boxes (customized)
Our PP stacking boxes can be manufactured in almost any technical size and guarantee a high-volume utilization and good payloads. They are particularly suitable when standard containers do not fit the requirements. Our stacking boxes are available in rigid and collapsible versions and can be equipped with inserts and textiles for shipping sensitive and other components.
Prototypes, samples and small batches via 3D printing
With state-of-the-art additive manufacturing, we are able to accelerate the process of packaging development by up to 50%. Prototypes and samples can be manufactured and send to customers within a few days. Thus, allowing sources of error to be detected at an early stage and minimizing the risk of costly design revisions. Small batches of trays can also be produced via 3D printing.
Sustainable packaging made of Ocean and Bio plastic
We also produce sustainable packaging solutions from recycled plastic as well as bio plastic and ocean plastic (up to 50%). The bio plastic is made from natural, renewable resources such as sugar cane. The ocean plastic is made from recycled fishing nets. Thus, both new materials will help reducing the ecological footprint and amount of waste in our oceans.
